NYS leaders have group up today in Ellen Sinclair Kennett Lodge on Friday Sept 26 during 1PM - 3PM, talking about many amazing event comming up and our yearly book/bottle drive and giving a invites to those who's interested in Bussiness a chance tosell their own product at West Vancouver Community Centre att Sunday 9AM - 1 PM under another non-profit organization. We're all happy to participate within the upcomming events see you there!
On June 13th during 10AM - 2 PM we hosted a Garage sale where members sell their unwanted item or product to in our neighborhood.
All the members get to introduce their items to their neighbor and some people made a few sales witch will be donated.
Our members and leader within NYS organization get to explore the Darts Hill Garden with a amazing guild showing us the different plants in our local area.
Taking a break from decice and walk around in nature, we also get to buy some plants at the end and the trip was amazing with no cost!
On May 5th and 8th NYS members hosted a mothers day plant sale where members sell plants to members in our local area for monthers day event.
We also host a plant sale and learning lesson rasing hundreds of dollars for donation at the end of the year
This is where NYS join up with other organization for a market sale base on eco friendly product on Apr 25. We sold many products like book, shirts and self made items.
Hundreds of guest have join the Carnival and we're happy that nearly everyone bring a smile back home after the day is complete.

On Dec 3, 2025, NYS team has come together to celebrate the progress done on 2025 and had a small party togather. Looking at the past events and learning throught out the year. It was celebrated near christmas and thank to everyone that volunteer towards the community.
NYS hosted a bottle drive on Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM to support the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation. Participants donated empty bottles and cans by leaving them at the curb by 10:00 AM or dropping them off at a Return-it Express site with pre-printed labels. Accepted items included aluminum cans, plastic bottles, liquor bottles, and beer cans or bottles. Donors used clear bags and limited glass bottles to 12 per bag.
On December 18, 2024, NYS celebrated its 2024 achievements with its Annual Conference, starting with a $2,000 donation to the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation for its production kitchen project. President Solenn Sun highlighted the year’s accomplishments, while the Foundation recognized volunteers with certificates. The event concluded with volunteers creating 100 Christmas cards for local seniors, showcasing NYS's dedication to community service and connection.
On December 23, 2024, NYS hosted its annual Christmas Jazz Concert at Peace Portal Senior Village, bringing holiday cheer to senior residents. Featuring talented musicians performing holiday classics and jazz standards, the event created a lively, festive atmosphere where residents enjoyed live music and socialized. Organized by NYS volunteers, the concert was part of the organization’s efforts to support and connect with local communities during the holidays. The event highlighted the power of music to foster joy and connection, leaving attendees with smiles and warm holiday memories.
On November 9, 2024, NYS and EcoNStyle hosted a Charity Flea Market at the South Surrey Community Centre, raising over $1,000 for the Peace Arch Foundation. With 20+ vendors, live music, and nearly 500 attendees, the event promoted sustainable living and community collaboration while supporting local businesses.

NYS volunteers joined the Peach Arch Hospital 70th Birthday Celebration on Aug 25th. They had a DIY tie-dye stand to help raise fund for the 10 million goal for Medical Imaging at Peace Arch Hospital!
NYS Volunteers hosted a DIY Tie-Dye fundraiser to benefit Peace Arch Hospital Foundation at Crescent Beach on July 1 2024.
On June 28 2024, NYS Volunteers worked at TEDx-Grandview Heights at Surrey Arts Centre.
NYS provided volunteer service to an urban planning workshop on May 26, 2024 at Semiahmoo Library. Our volunteers are busy preparing hand-made candles, home-grown vegetable and bakery for our Green Home Gift Pack Sale at the event!
In April 2022, NYS organized a donut fundraiser for Richmond Hospital Foundation.
12 volunteers, 180 donuts sold within the two days, 200 dollars profits for donation, and numerous commendations...
On the Christmas Eve of 2021, we delivered 110 Christmas cards to senior activity centres and retirement homes across Vancouver. Click the button for more information on the event.
